  • Head Chef

    From an early age, Chef Leo Vilela was immersed in Peru's exquisite cuisine, accompanying his mother to the local market to buy fresh ingredients. This early exposure sparked his passion for cooking traditional Peruvian dishes. However, it was during his time in France, pursuing an engineering degree, that he truly fell in love with his culinary roots. Faced with a lack of Peruvian restaurants, Leo dove deep into the flavors of his homeland, honing his skills in the kitchen.

    As a culinary engineer, Chef Leo blends innovation with tradition, crafting bold flavors that take diners on a unique culinary adventure. His educational journey includes prestigious training as a Certified Food Associate de Boulangerie in Le Mans and formal culinary education at Gregoire Ferrandi in Paris. At Chabuca, he brings his passion and expertise to every dish, inviting you to experience the vibrant tastes of Peru.
